Today’s Mantra
Today’s mantra:
You can’t edit a blank page.I’ve reached the point in Big Thomas where I’m convinced the story is worthless, that nothing good is going to come from it, that I should pack it in.
None of that is true.
Big Thomas is, currently, a crap story. It rambles, it has no pacing, no energy, no drive. It’s a succession of group discussions. BO-RING.
But it only becomes worthless if I abandon it forever. Remember the three rules of productive writing:
1> Write.
2> Finish what you write. (this includes revising and editing)
3> Get your work out where people can see it.
