Back from Balticon
Wow. Balticon. This had to be the best one yet. The panels I set up all went beautifully, including two erotica readings which packed the house, and some great discussions.
Of course, being able to see friends that I ordinarily only interact with online was also a big bonus. It’s amazing for someone like me, who grew up as the eternal outsider, to have more friends than I can name. It was marvelous.
Getting back home was a bit of a letdown, especially having to go in to work again right after, but it was good to get back to the kids, and of course “real life” has to come back sooner or later.
But I will cherish the memories, as I do for all the Balticons I’ve been to, forever.
